Wonderful Time with Friends!

I am having a great time with my cousin, her spouse, and three granddaughters! We had a McGuire/Mizer/Bryant/Looney reunion on Sunday and it was absolutely wonderful to see relatives from all over the Ozark Hills and beyond. Some of those red hair genes have turned very snowy along with the brunette.

Pikes Peak --1982

This is a 1982 photo of the dirt road near the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado. The road corkscrews around the north side for 17 miles and takes around 2 1/2 hrs to drive. The elevation is 14,110 ft at the top of the summit where a gift shop and restaurant are located. My daughter-in-law tells an interesting story about driving alone along this trail with snow and over-heated brakes. She is one brave, gutsy female. I have taken the Cog Wheel Train both times I have visited the peak.
